how can i get a column to automatically add an AH in front of the number i type in?

Hi Syd,
Firstly, select a cell then go into Format, Cells, Custom. In the box labelled "Type", type in " "AH" 0.00" without the outer set of ". Hit OK then type 5 in the cell. The cell should then show "AH 5.00" without the "".
Once you've got one cell done right, do the same for a column. Then if you want a macro to do it, do it again and record your actions.

John's suggestion should work ( I just tried it). You should enter "AH"0.00 in the custom box.
