[Solved] Formulas : Date (how to add years)

Hi there!

I would like to add years to a date i.e. day on which a contract has to be renewed

02/4/2004 + 2 (years) = date (??)

Any ideas would be welcome, thanks!!

Use the EDATE function

If A1 has 01/01/2004

in B1 Enter =EDATE(A1,24)

syntax = EDATE(start,months)

In general to add years, months, or days to a date you can use the various date functions. For example, this adds 2 years to the date in A1.
=DATE(YEAR(A1)+2,MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))
