Hello,
I am doing a simple find() formula in excel, returning true if the string is found.
If you could please look at the attachment:
I need a way to format cell B1 so that the formula works -- but I dont know why it doesnt.
I tried copying D1 and paste special - formats on B1 but no luck. It will work if i just copy and paste but I have a whole sheet with this same problem so is there a way I can just format cell B1??
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

You have trailing spaces in B1 - delete them and it works.

Knew it was simple but just couldnt see it. Thanks!
If i have a full sheet of this data - what would be the best macro to delete all trailing spaces? some cells are sentences as well.. -

My pleasure. No need for a macro, you can use the TRIM formula in another column and then paste the values only over the originals.
