Sheet reference

    Does anyone know how to refer to a particular sheet?
    I want to show a carry forward figure on one sheet as a brought forward figure on the next sheet.

    ='Sheet Name!'A1

    Where Sheet Name is the name of the sheet and A1 is the referenced cell.

    I put in ='sheet1!'A1 where sheet1 was the name of the sheet & A1 was the cell & had an error message!
    Any ideas?

    Do it without the apostrophies if it is a one word sheet name.

    Or, just hit = then navigate to the cell you want to reference.
