Okeh, perhaps you could advise me..
I don't think i am using the correct tool for the job.
I wanted to send text to my front page to be read only with a scrol bar as there is limited space.
So i can not lock a text box and use the scroller at the moment.. which is no good for the job. -
I have just loaded onto Dropbox for you to download...
not used it before so here goes.................... Edit: forget that as it exceeds the file size hahaTried Winzipping the file, but that just exceeds the limit on file size on here.
My only alternative would be to show a free down link for Winrar here.
Bonus is... it seems to compress down a lot more than Winzip at 3.5Mb and Winrar 1.7Mb -
OK i have cut the spreadsheet down in size as much as i can, as i had loads of photo bitmaps, that made it quite big.
I tried to replicate the problem on another sheet but it wasn't doing it.. so here is the smallest part of the original without images.
TextBox 2......... If you scroll down it bleeds over a cells depth on the base.
There is a couple of merged cells in line with the base of the textbox (photo selector) but when i got rid of the merged cells it still bleeds over?
No way could i get it smaller than whats required on here so i RAR zipped it up -
I was trying to show you, thinking you must have seen it many times before.. obviously not

Hi Carim,
yes i got around it, which i shall add to the previous thread. I didn't merge the IF results together, just added a list of different cells in rows each using the IF function.
Well i swopped the merged cells for TextBox's, just added the linked text function cell address in the properties. Works great.. its just i noticed this bleed over. I can screen shot the properties on here if you think i should. -
I have a question about VBA Textboxes. I have added a textbox, locked it, plus im using a scrollbar.
Now when i scroll through, the textbox seems to bleed over at least another cell depth and stays there.
Can i stop this happening? -
I have been trying to add relevant info into 1 cell on Sheet 2 from Sheet1 using the IF function, but need help to add more notes from different cells as there is usually more than 1.
In this case there is 3, but can only get 1 showing. -
Great Carim, spot on, thanks again.
-
Carim, If it is possible, could you please show me how to delete the Text, leaving a clear sheet.. after the copy and paste, using the same CommandButton1?
-
I think i need to use something else?. I needed somewhere to add text to, but also keep existing text when updated. I thought i should use a TextBox, but it looks like it can be modified and not locked.
I thought i should use a VBA TexBox to be able to use a scroll bar. I only know of using a cell.I was totally scratching my head for a week then... So happy with the tricks you have shown me though.. Brilliant.
Here is the finished File in attachments for anyone to suss out and use.

Okeh Carim ..Brilliant.. i have that now and its working.. how could i keep the existing text on the TextBox that we paste into
-
I have just managed to send over the text to Sheet2 but only from A6, as i couldn't figure how to link the merged cells.
-
I left a Like and feel like saying Thank You too... Excellent Carim, as now the Data section is copying over to Sheet 2 and also selecting the next row for new additions.
Now i need to know how to transfer the text over, i guess that will be the same way..
One thing though... I don't know how to transfer the text to a Text Box though.. I choose a VBA text Box as i need to use a scroller as the new additions grow.

Hello,
i have no idea what to look for on here as i am sure this question will be somewhere else.
I have tried to find a set of VBA functions for this, but no idea what to ask for.
If someone could please point me int he right direction, i would appreciate it.Requirements:
Press Command Button1 to allow Data to be sent to Sheet2 and added to A2-D2 and then saved, next command onto the next line A3-D3
At the same time the Text sent to Text on Sheet2 E2 saved the same way as the Data.. Also the text sent to the TextBox1, which is also saved and added in Succession. -
Okeh NBVC i shall give it a go.. thank you
-
I was wondering if there is a way to add an extra function to be able to filter gender.. Male or Female.
Basically i need to zero one or the other. Lets just say that column A is the gender choice. -
OK excellent... the "IF" & the "AND" functions worked.
The first "IF" function attempt worked, but still showed higher values.
Pike and NBVC .......Many thanks for the help.
Much appreciated -
I3 isn't on any cell just a blank one.. should that be on age to photo..
it still shows ages that are higher than the age to photo and still shows higher values when they are dead. -
No that didn't work, but thanks....
