    I'm working on a data set as displayed below.

    I need to Index the maintenance and breakdown schedule of few equipment. The screenshot below displays the data for 2 equipment (Column G) with their maintenance schedule.

    Column A & B lists the Start date and time of maintenance/breakdown, Column C & D lists the completion date and time of Maintenance/Breakdown. I need to fill in the data in last 2 columns for Index of Maintenance & Breakdown for 2 equipment LPDT 65 and 66 (Column G).

    The data in Column N and O are filled as per below logic. For each Equip # (Column G), If Column M is "PM" and Column E is "Not repeated", Increase Maintenance # by 1.
    Similarly for Column O, For each Equip # (Column G), If Column M is "BD" and Column E is "Not repeated", Increase Breakdown # by 1.

    I've attached the file for reference. Please find below a screenshot of data.

    I have a data set which list the number of letters posted on 11 Mar = 12,36,345.

    These letter got delivered to people over next 25 days following a normal distribution.

    How can i generate a distribution which lists the number of letter delivered over 25 days - 11 March, 12 March, ..... , 3 April, 4 April.

    Re: Find and replace error using VBA

    Don't replace... use Custom formatting to display the dates as you require.

    The 'wrong' dates are because Excel uses American date format as standard. Any date where the day is less than 12 will be assumed to be American format (mm/dd/yy) and so switches the day/month figures.

    i tried it, but didn't succeed. With the sample data shown in image, could you please tell me how I can do that.

    Setting Custom format as "dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm AM/PM" or "dd-mm-yyyy hh:mm" leaves the data as it is with no changes.

    Hi,

    I have a data set of the following form:

    [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/FxA7wIK.jpg]

    The code I used is:

    Code
    Range("C:D").Select
        Selection.Replace What:=".", Replacement:=":", LookAt:=xlPart, _
            SearchOrder:=xlByRows, MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False, _
            ReplaceFormat:=False
        Selection.End(xlUp).Select

    Any suggestions on What modification I might need to do? [I'm using Excel 2013]

    Re: Split data separated with comma into multiple rows

    Quote from apo;690378

    It was also answered by me (who you chose to ignore).. both my question and solution..

    I think you need to read the Rules regarding Cross Posting..

    I didn't mean. Sorry If I made any violations.

    1. I have a very huge data set with 10,000+ rows and 28 or more columns, dumping the data from columns 1 to 3 into further cells was not serving my purpose.
    2. My data has 2 IDs, one is identification number and 2nd is multiple sub-identifications under it separated by commas.
    3. Each sub-identification under the identification number has one issue associated with it.
    4. So my task was to bifurcate sub-identification numbers separated by comma into multiple lines and use a combo of Identification number and Sub-identification number as a Unique ID to map the resolution status of all issues associated with an identification number.

    Edit: I found out that I need to mention if I have posted the same question in some other forum. Will follow it in my future posts.

    Re: Split data separated with comma into multiple rows

    Got one answer which suited my need perfectly. Reposting it here for anyone else who might need it.
    This has been answered by BrianMH from Mr Excel forum:

    Hi,

    I have to process a data set which has the following format:

    Code
    Waiting for ##### team   ABxxxxxxxxxxx       ABCDE4FG25HI7J5K, LMN123OPQ45RST, UV12398765WXYZ
    Waiting for $$$$ team AByyyyyyyyyyy 95597836355278,9666382677292
    Waiting for @@@@ team ABzzzzzzzzzzz MBAWAXZSE1234TU

    My target is to bring it in the following format:

    Code
    Waiting for ##### team ABxxxxxxxxxxx ABCDE4FG25HI7J5K
    Waiting for ##### team ABxxxxxxxxxxx LMN123OPQ45RST
    Waiting for ##### team ABxxxxxxxxxxx UV12398765WXYZ
    Waiting for $$$$ team AByyyyyyyyyyy 95597836355278
    Waiting for $$$$ team AByyyyyyyyyyy 9666382677292
    Waiting for @@@@ team ABzzzzzzzzzzz MBAWAXZSE1234TU

    With values separated by comma to be entered in the row below it.

    Can someone please suggest me a vba code to accomplish the above task?

    Edit:

    Detailed explanation of problem:

    1. I have a very huge data set with 10,000+ rows and 28 or more columns.
    2. My data has 2 IDs, one is identification number and 2nd is multiple sub-identifications under it separated by commas.
