Apologies but this question of mine was not answered...so here it is again...

When I open my Pivot Table Wizard, the DEFAULT for the summary measures in the data area is set to SUM.

How do I change the DEFAULT to COUNT so whenever I use the wizard, COUNT instead of SUM appears for my summary measures.

However, I'm interested to change the DEFAULT setting for the summary measure.

So when I activate the wizard, the default summary measure is sum and not count.

The summary measure for my data field buttons my pivot table wizard is defaulted to count instead of sum.

When I use place a text box as part of a userform, the data entered is always in text form.

Is there a way/property which allows us to switch it to a numeric form as per "Cell Format" in an excel worksheet?

Hi all,

I am changing the default format of the report to present data sumarised using pivot table.
However every time I refresh the data the report reverts back to the default format.
Is the a way to save "my" format of the report?

Hi

Im looking to use the page function in the pivot table to seperate the data and then select each page area to send to different clients. I cant, however, allow each client to see the other clients details in the page area so I need to lock down the page areas without disabling the functionality within the pivot table (ie rows and columns).

Could you let me know if this is possible in using excel, or if you require further information.

As the function for counting the number of elements in a column are:

counta($A:$A)

Whats the function for ocunting the number of elements in a row, say row 1?
