Once I corrected the cells that had been imported (2:15) to (02:15) the formula worked as stated - 2.25. I'm really not sure why I had to re-type the cells in but once I did I got the desired results.

Thanks dcraker, I had tried that formula and it didn't work but when I got your reply I tried again and still no luck so I started looking at the format of the cells I was trying to convert and found that was my problem, once I retyped in the mm:ss it worked as it should.

I have a group of numbers that I need to convert from mm:ss formatting to decimal minute format such as 10 minutes 30 seconds (10:30 to 10.50) or (08:22 to 08.366). I have read the threads that show how to convert decimal minutes to seconds but I wasn't able to convert around to the solution I need.

I have a formula that will be used by others to obtain a certain result by altering a number in the formula. What I would like to do is make that number obvious as the one that can be changed. The formula reads - "=(M48+P48+Q48)*0.08453-(((J48+K48)*\$K\$4)*0.1)" - what I would like to do is color the 0.08453 in the Formula Bar so it stands out.

After entering the first example and testing it still sends the sheet as the body of the message, what I'm trying to do is to get it to send as an excel attachment to the e-mail. Any ideas?

Can anyone tell me how i could send an active worksheet from excel as an e-mail attachment (Microsoft Outlook) instead of the body of the e-mail? I have a workbook with about 30+ tabs and I only want to send the active tab (worksheet) to the e-mail recipient.

I have a series of workbooks that have been revised and then saved with the same name but with a revised date added to the file name - abc.xls, abc rev 9-23-03.xls, abc rev 9-25-03.xls etc. When I open any one of these work books I get a message that says that the workbook I opened contains automatic links to information in another workbook and asks if I want to update this workbook with changes made to the other workbook. Is there a way to remove these automatic links? I have tried Tools, Options, Calculation, and unchecked the update remote references but this doesn't help. Is there something I am missing?

I am trying to do a lookup function but am at a loss as to if it can be done or not. What I have are prices from 3 different suppliers - ABC - LMN - XYZ - for 3 different part numbers - 123 - 456 - 789 - and in 3 different quantities - 5 pcs. - 10 pcs. - 15 pcs. - what I am trying to do is have the cell do a lookup function picking the lowest price for each part number for each quantity, so if ABC is lower on 5 pcs. but XYZ is lower on 15 pcs. and LMN is lower on 10 pcs. I need to enter ABC's price in the 5 pc price column, XYZ's in the 10 pc and LMN's in the 15 pc. Is this possible using lookup? Thanks in advance!!
