Sorry to ask this but how do I record a macro to do that?

I wanted to know if someone could help on this.

I want to the "No. of times taken out" column to automatically update if the status is "Borrowed".

So, say book had been borrowed 13 times, and the Book is borrowed again, I want the "No of times taken out" to change from 13 to 14.

Could somebody please help me. Thanks.

Sorry StephenR, the "Item Name" means the book/DVD name and under "Item" means if the customer took out a Book or DVD.

Edit: Is there away I can with the DVD's as well in the same column or do I have to create another one?

Here's the attachment if it helps (The names of the DVD's/ producers etc are temporary so they won't be real movies/show)

1) I am trying on the "customer detail page", in the "date due" column automatically update with the book/DVD.

Note: The database has been shortened drastically to be able to be able upload
