No, but why have you got columns of gross and profit, instead of one column for each.
Your original formula would produce circular reference.
Because they are monthly sales and profits. Every 2 adjacent columns represent a separate month.

In the original sheet, that's the case. Some of our clients get a monthly discount (1% of their total buy). The value of this discount is surely deducted from our profits. Hence, the formula in words becomes: Net profit = Total profit - ( Total buy *0.01)
Did you miss this message?
It's the real case. Unfortunately, I don't have a better explanation.
There's no pattern that I can see as to where you want the formulas. I'm not entirely sure what your data is showing, but it doesn't seem to be a semsible layout.
Thanks a lot for your time.
Why in random cells?
So, is there a method to do that? Or it is inapplicable?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Can you attach a dummy workbook show what you need
Do you mean you want the same formula in all the cells of column B?
No. I want to apply the formula to B13, D5, F6, H5, J12 & L3.
Is there a method to apply this formula without rewriting it in every cell?

Here is a generic file. I want to apply the above formula (in B2) to the highlighted pairs of cells.
Hey Guys,
Is there a method to apply this formula in B2 to work for any two adjacent cells (eg. G1&H1 , R55&S55 , W101&X101 .. etc):
B2=the original value of B2 -(C2*0.01)
So that, I just select the cell (B2 in my example), and by applying that method, the new result overwrites the original value of the same cell.
Is that applicable?
Thanks in advance.
