Want to find out if there are ways to call data with a week as condition
I have attached a sheet which is a part of a macro which basically calls data to another location and conslidates it on a weekly basis. I have given a drop down which enables me to change the data on a 7 days basis but this is not effective as it does not correspond with the week begning and end is there any other way in which when I select any of the weeks data gets picked up from Monday to Friday?

hi
Guys I cant thank you enough for the help given really appreciate it. The formula seems to be working perfectly fine.
Cringe and Daddy long legs special thanks to both of you made my work much easier I wish I could do something in return Please let me know if I could

Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
Sorry if I dint specify that:( yes mail can be recieved any time but reply happens only between 8:00am to 16:00 on working days
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
Thanks Cringe,
but even the above formula does not seem to work on all scenerios:
Date received Time Received Date Sent Time Sent T
04/05/07 (friday) 6:30 07/05/07(monday) 14:20
Output is 15:50 min with the formula but the actual should be 14hrs20min
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
Thanks fillipo
Tried the above one as well but results are still not accurate have taken the scenerio of
date start as 04/05/07 (friday)
Time Start as 12:30
Date End as 07/05/07 (monday)
Time end as 11:40
Gives me an out put as 23:10 where the correct time would be 8hrs 10 min:(
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
thanks Cringe,
Does this formula take into consideration the 2 working day logic? Cause there might be instances that some work takes three to four days (working) to clear. tried the below scenerio but as you see it does not give the desired result
Wednesday 02/05/07 12:30 04/05/07 8:10 3:40:00
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
Really sorry guys honestly did not read the rules carefully this time I ensured that I did .Dint really mean to offend anyone... Thanks for unlocking the same again
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
Sorry Cringe, I replied to you on the last one the one before that was for Fillipo
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
tried the above formula as well but the same does not work as well in the above mentioned scenerio:(
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
Ok I was able to figure out the way how to enter the fields and I have got an output for the same but again the same is not working for week ends as well as dates which overlap in the month
For Ex: if the date recieved is 04/05/07 and the time recieved is 17:50
Date sent is 07/05/07 time being 11:40 the output shows 19:40:( where it has to be 03:40 as it is supposed to calculate from 07/05/07 (monday) and not from 04/05/07 (friday) as it is after 16:00
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
thanks again I was able to get to the insert function but how do i include the fields? and what fields do I take into account in what format.
Hope you guys dont mind me learning I am new to this
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
apologies to all who are trying to help I really dont know too much about VB so if some one could help with an excel formula or how to use the VB would be thankful
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
hi
Again thank you for your reply
What my scenerio is that I am calculating the time taken to respond to mails where the recieved time and date and replied time and date for my team.
As I had previously mentioned the team starts working only at 8:00am and stops working at 16:00 on Monday to friday only. So basically when I am calculacting TAT it should not taken into consideration weekends after 16:00 on friday till Monday morning 8:00 am and also on week days If a mail is recieved before 8:00am it should calculacate only from 8:00am and end at 16:00hrs. I request for help to find the total time spent in hours keeping in mind the conditions said above.
Re: Calculating Turn Around Time In Multiple Scenario
thank you so much for the Welcome I have attached a format for your help.
I have tried out a few formula's but none have given me sucess in all conditions
