Re: Formula To Calculate Pay Stub
Krishnakumar,
Thank you your solution. However, when the date is 31st of the month, the value turns #value!. Is there any way to include in the formula in such a way that the 31st of the month is taken as 30th in the formula ?
My apologies and thank you for your patience and assistance Krishna.

Re: Formula To Calculate Pay Stub
Krishna and Nmutimer,
Thank you for your solutions. The solution answer that I provided in the spreadsheet of $7398.25 is the solution provided by the higher management in my company.
a) I need your help if it is possible that the formula you provided could generate the same answer.
b) In addition, when the date the 31st of the month, the answer becomes #value!. When the date is 31st of the month, the formula should take it as 30th. Is there any way to accomplish this both ? Thank you in advance for your patience and support.

Hi all,
I need help to create a formula to calculate pay stub. The calculation is based on a default start date of 1/1/2006. The end date will the pay period ending in the employee paystub. We would then use the Year To Date amount to calculate the monthly salary. I need to build this into an excel formula but could not find the correct formula. Appreciate your kind assistance.
I have attached a sample. Thanks.
Re: Combine Subtotal With SUMPRODUCT Formula
Hi Domenic,
Thank you for your solution. I am new to Sumproduct formula. I would really appreciate if you could elaborate the purpose the OFFSET formula in this function and the number 0 and 1 at the end of this formula. This would help me to understand how it works. Thanks in advance for your time and patience.
Re: Combine Subtotal With SUMPRODUCT Formula
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me with this post.
I am trying to combine a subtotal formula in sumproduct formula but end in error. Appreciate if someone can assist me with the right formula. I would like to combine subtotal in the following sumproduct formula:
=SUMPRODUCT(((C3:C9)=C14)*((G3:G9)=B15)*(H3:H9))
Re: Combining Subtotal In Sumproduct
I am sorry. The title should be "Combining Subtotal In Sumproduct" and not Combining Subtotal In Sumif". My apologies. Please ignore the earlier thread title.

Re: Highlight The Highest Value Within A Range
Thomach,
I am sorry. I tried your own example and it worked but when I tried my own example with exactly the same method as yours, it does not work as attached. Am I missing anything on the method ? I have my example just beside yours in this spreasdheet. Thanks.

Hi,
Is it possible to highlight the highest value within a given range in that particular cell ? Example: I have a range of value from cells A1 to A10. The highest value is in cell A3. Can I make cell A3 highlighted in colour red?
Thanks for your kind assistance.

Re: Sumif With Multiple Sum Range
Krishnakumar/ACW,
I am posting a simplified version of my work and column in which I need the sumif formula.
Krishna,
I have the total column in between the sum ranges. I know that I can just delete the column but I am wondering if there is a way to use multiple sum ranges in sumif.
Here is the attachment.
Hi All,
I am trying to use sum if with multiple sumrange. For example the sum range is from F2:F10, then F12:F20 and then F22:F30.All this need to be build in the same formula to generate the correct value. Is this possible with Sumif or do I need to use another formula? Thanks.

Re: Summarize With Criteria
Hi,
Actually I need the points to be summarized based on staff ID and that particular step. For example, I need to summarize how many points for staff ID #98 on each step from step 10 to step 120. Is that possible to formularize? Thanks.
Dave,
Sorry about the thread title. I will be more careful.
Hi ,
I need help with Sum Product. I tried using the formula after searching the forum but I can't get it right. I have a spreadsheet that tracks errors done by staff on a daily basis by numerous steps in their work process. I need to summarize this raw data to a table by staff id, step and points to that error.
I have attached a simplified version. I hope someone can help me with the correct formula. Thanks.

Badger,
Thanks! It works.I managed to figure out how the formula works but I am not sure what the sign COLUMN indicates and why there is a negative number (-7).How does this two sign works ?Thanks again for your time and response.
