Hi there!
I have three columns; 'time' (in hh:mm format), 'cost' (in Euro) and 'total cost' (in Euro). However, when I multiply 'time' * 'cost', I get an odd number E.g.
03:13 * 4 = 0.54
This is clearly wrong, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Many thanks,
Phil

Ok thanks this seems to have got us closer to success.. . however drop downs are in cells I6 to I30 i.e. each cell has a drop down.
With your example, if I select Amber from cell I6 (replaced $A$1 with $I$6) all the cells (I6 to I30) change to Amber. I would only like each cell to change i.e. if I select Red in I7 only I7 will change to Red and if I select Amber in I10 only I10 will go Amber and so forth.. .
Thanks for your patience.. . !!

I can't get it to work.
I took Andy's code (and tried Dave's too!), I changed the Target Address to = "$I$6:$I$30" and, nothing happens when I select colour from Drop-Down.
I copy pasted the above code, by going to View Code then pasted in the Code window. This window has two drop downs: (General) and (Declarations).
What am I doing wrong!?

Phil

Hi there!
Depending on what the user selects from a drop-down list i.e. Blue, Red, Purple, Amber or Green, I would like the cells background to change to respective colour.
Conditional formatting can cope with 3 colours, what to do when you have five!? Any help would be muchly appreciated.. .
Many thanks,
Phil

Thanks, perfect!!
It is though a bit odd that one needs to put that much info, had to create a hidden worksheet, no one liner formulas I guess.
Thanks again.. .

Thanks Derk! I only have one date to get working days from, there lies my problem. NETWORKDAYS is when you have two dates, any ideas?

Hi all!
I would like to calculate the number of working days in a month from period ending data (Cell L6).
For example in Cell L6 I have 31/03/2004, I would like to display the number of working days for March 2004 in Cell W6?
I have Excel 2002 on WinXP. Many thanks for any help you can offer.. .
