Re: formula for converting minutes into 7 hour shifts
your right h1h, error on my part. that solves my problem, thanks
folks,
ive got a spreadsheet which people are completing on how many minutes they are working on a certain project. im needing a formula to convert the minutes into 7-hour shift equivallent. for example, if there is a total of 300 minutes im needing a formula to show "5" shifts. or if its 350 minutes, show 5.83 shifts
folks,
trying to get a formula for the above, which is:
"if any cell in a given range is NOT blank then Y if all blank no"
thanks you!
also, ive got a spreadsheet which people wil be filling in. I need a formula to say "if B4 is "Y" then show text from B3 plus sum of B2.
for example: B4 is: will you be working overtime? Y or N
B3 what will you be working on?
B2 how many minutes will you be working on this?
Re: sheet saved as shared but opens as read only?
seems to work now mate cheers for your help
Re: sheet saved as shared but opens as read only?
yeah it comes up with who it is, but its not me. however, when I go into share workbook, it has me twice? that anything to do with it?
Re: sheet saved as shared but opens as read only?
has not mate, checked that
Hi,
Im in an office and have created a spreadsheet as shared but when someone is in it and I try and open it, it opens with the "read only, notify and cancel" options. If I open it as read only, then the header in excel window is [workbook name][read-only][shared] - which I didnt think was possible.
any ideas?
thanks
hi folks,
ive got a very simple formula =sum(B2:F2)
within B2:F2 there is a list of numbers (25, 19, 45, 68, 34)
i was wondering how I can have the total of B2:F2 formatted into hours and minutes - ie total is 191, how can i get this to show 3 hours 11 minutes? or 3.18h?
thanks very much
hi folks,
I need a formula to say if a cell value is before the 01/06/03 then Y, but if after then N. any takers?
Hi Guys,
see when u have a sheet of figures, and you highlight a few cells - there is usually a box at the bottom of the sheet which tells u the sum. This is missing. do you know how to get it back?
Thanks a bunch!
Hi folks,
my spreadsheet is sowing numbers instead of letters in the column headers. anyone know how to change this back?
also need a formula for the following:
I have a figure in C5, and need D5 to show (C5 minus 2.5 percent)
cheers people

Hi, does anyone know the command for changing a colour of a cell depending on the value of it? for example, it is currently =IF(SUM(B4:L4)>16,"+" & SUM(B4:L4)-16,IF(SUM(B4:L4)<16,"-"&16-SUM(B4:L4),""))
I want it so that if the value is >16 it fills green, or <16 it fills red
thanks very much
Re: Hide the Print Preview Lines
cheers dude
Hi,
Does anybody know how to remove the print preview lines from your sheet that shows you what will come off each page? It is really annoying me, and I know it will be something SO simple! Its always pops up when you have been into print preview
thanks

Hi folks,
I have a spreadsheet with a list of names repeated from A1 to A30 (i.e in cell A1 I have "system", cell A2 "network", cell A3 "system") etc. and in column B I have either "Y" or "N". I need a formula to count the amount of "Y"s and "N"s each has.
can anyone help?
