Well obviously the data with this example it is easier to use your solution. But next time I add a series I will have to add another column and add a check box with your cumbersome solution. With mine it is not dependent on how many series exist therefore I believe it more useful in the future. Thus it’s a more elegant solution, right?

Yes I have seen that. I was not impressed. Adding more data (columns to plot) to my already enormous file is not a good solution.

And to bring back the series set the border and stuff to automatic but is there a way to easily toggle between the two?

I would like to easily/quickly toggle series in an Excel chart on and off. What I would really like to have is to click on a series in the legend next to my chart and have that series data disappear from my graph. Then I click that series again in the legend and have the data reappear on the graph. I gave up on the legend and started to create check boxes next to the legend then use macros to clear the line type and color. Then I realized as I add series more check boxes wouldn’t appear. So I made a VBA user form but I don’t know how to get the list of series from Excel into a VB list box. Any ideas?
