    I created an receipt template in excel. How can I have it increase the receipt invoice number by 1 every time I open this template? For example the first receipt is 100, I want the second receipt to be 101, and so on. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    How can I get a protected word document to auto complete names that are being entered several times on the same sheet? This form has those gray boxes that after you enter data in one field you tab to the next field. Any help is appreciated.

    Re: Auto Save


    I already have that set up. What I would like to happen to to set the default where it does not prompt me to save, but does it automatically without me have to uncheck the "prompt before saving" box. I am having to uncheck this box for every excel file I create. Any idea on how to do that?

    I am using Excle 2000. Is there a way to set it up to that it auto saves all excel files that are opened/created without prompting me to save it. I can set it for the file I am working on, but everytime I open a new worksheet/book it prompts me again.

    Is there a way to get excel to save the worksheet you are working on every 5 or 10 minutes. I can't seem to find that function. I am tired of my pc freezing up and losing information. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks, that works for my current spreadsheet because it has dates in each row. What if the spreadsheet did not have dates in each row? I don't believe it would keep it in correct order.

    I downloaded a file into excel. It has data in one row then a empty row, then data, then empty row, etc..... This goes on for hundreds of rows. My question is: how can i delete every blank row, or every other row? Any help is appreciated. I know I can do it one row at a time, but that will take me a while.

    How would I get the month in a sentence to always be the prior month based on the current date? For ex: Today is January 25, 2005, the sentence should read "for the month of December....".

    Re: Field Tab Color


    I know there is a way, because I saw this on a person's excel spreadsheet. The row and column headings corresponding to the field she was working in were a light orange, while the other headings were gray. She is using Excel 2003, and doesn't know how it does this, must be a default setting in this version. Excuse that I referred to them as tabs.

    Not sure what you call it, but when you in a certain field, the field letter and number tabs are hi-lited. Is there a way to have these tabs a different color than the rest of the tabs to make it easier to identify the line or row i am in. Currently it is just gray. Please let me know if you need more information.

    Version is Excel 2000

    Is there a way to enter data in a field without it going past the end of the field? I created a form in Excel that you enter data in and I would like people to fill it out and for a field to be like "Word" where when you come to the end of the field it will tab down in the same field, if that is possible.
